Middle Years Academic Program

ELALCS Middle school students are guided into becoming discerning and active members of our school community and beyond using the full Manitoba schools curriculum with the added thread of a Biblical worldview woven into the day across all subject areas.  This results in students experiencing an integrated approach to learning curriculum while living out spiritual values in the world around them.

Music Program

The Middle Years music program at Linden Christian School is a continuation of the solid program begun in the Early Years. The Grade 5 students receive a total of 135 minutes per cycle of an orff-based music program with an addition 30 minutes of Choir scheduled into their timetable. The Grades 6 – 8 Music program is a mandatory combination of Band and Choir. Students receive 210 minutes of music per cycle which also includes theory and ear training. Students perform at two major concerts per year....

Student Support

Our goal is to provide assistance that will enable all students to be successful in learning activities in their classrooms. This assistance takes the form of indirect service that is provided through consultation, collaboration and coordination with the classroom teacher in the classroom and/or direct service to the student that is provided in the resource room.

In addition to providing support for individual subject areas, we also provide our Middle Years students support in developing study and organization skills. Education Assistants are available to provide one-on-one or small group support both within and outside the classroom. EAL services are also available to students in the Middle Years program at LCS.
