Organization and Governance
Linden Christian School is an incorporated non-profit, charitable organization. It is a supported ministry of Grant Memorial Baptist Church but operates independently from the church in the regular administration of its affairs.
The Linden Christian School Board of Directors is appointed annually by the GMBC Board. The Board is responsible for approving the plans, budgets, and policies of the school and ensuring their effective implementation by the school administration.
The Principal (Rob Charach) is the Chief Administrative Officer of the school with responsibility for the instructional program and staff of the school. He is also part of an Executive Committee that manages all aspects of the organization that includes Linden Christian School, Grant Memorial Baptist Church and the Lindenholm Seniors Complex. The Principal is joined on the Executive Committee by:
- Tom Castor, Chief Executive Officer and GMBC Senior Pastor
- Diana Koldyk, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Ministry Support Services
- Glenn Miller, GMBC Lead Associate Pastor and Director of Community Care
These senior officers prepare the annual plans, budgets and policies of the school according to the mandate of the school as approved by the Board of Deacons of GMBC, and within the governance policies set by the Board of Directors of Linden Christian School.
The senior officers of the school are responsible for the formation and implementation of administrative policy as well as the implementation of the programs and administration of the school. They are accountable to abide within the policies of the Board of Directors.
