Library

Linden Christian School library is a center of learning and literacy. Our school library plays an important role in providing appropriate print and electronic resources for students and staff. The collection is developed to support the curriculum with an emphasis on a biblical world view.

In the ever-changing technology-rich world we live in, our library staff work in partnership with teachers to instruct students to ethically and efficiently acquire, evaluate, and communicate ideas and knowledge.
Our library is a loving, respectful and ordered environment at the heart of LCS where all staff and students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are supported in the academic and spiritual goals of Linden Christian School.

Technology

TechnologyAt every age, we  teach students to use up-to-date tools, to use technology responsibly and ethically, to support critical and creative thinking about information, and to think about communication as citizens of the global community.

At each grade level key technology concepts are built upon, driven by teaching the core curriculum. We currently have many ICT tools ranging from simple digital cameras to entire sets of laptops that are brought to the classroom. We are constantly evaluating the use of tools and software to see how they can be used to enhance a student's connection to the curriculum material, and ultimately help them reach a Biblical and practical understanding of their world.

The LCS computer courses for Senior Years students use all available means to teach the students:

  • programming
  • Internet etiquette and safety
  • stop motion animation
  • blogging
  • working with wikis
  • website design including HTML and CSS
  • responsible use of computer tools for communicating and transmitting ideas from a Christian point of view
