EY Spiritual Development

At Linden we live out our mission statement to “equip students to love and serve God”. Early Years students are provided age appropriate opportunities to love and serve God. Twice each week Early Years students and teachers meet together for Chapel. K-4 Chapels are a special time of singing praises to God, learning from God’s word and praying together. Bible is taught as a subject area in K-4 by the classroom teacher. Students and teachers spend time exploring the Bible, memorizing scripture and praying together.

Each classroom in K-4 partners with a missionary or mission organization to provide prayer and support. Kindergarten students may collect toothbrushes for inner city children while grade three students provide shoes and meals for needy children in the Dominican Republic. As Early Years educators our goal is to teach these young children that they can make a difference in the life of another by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Each year as a school we support Operation Christmas Child by partnering with Grant Memorial Church in providing over 2000 shoe boxes for children in third world countries. Many of our EY teachers have participated in short term mission’s trips, traveling to third world countries and displaying their desire to be compassionate community members.
